In this Post, me and Jofanna would like to dedicate our Big appreciation to both Grace and Alvin Tojimoh. When we first started, we were very worried about our new Studio approach in Sabah, Creating Natural, Artistic and Photojournalism Images not very well accepted in Kota Kinabalu. When there's people walks in the studio, we'll get comments like,
"Your picture is blur" Which refers to the subject in focus and background blurred out or in some photography terms call it "Bokeh" or
"How come the face only half one?" Refers to some of the portrait shots that we're done artistically or we call it"Mystery" or
"your picture not enough light, see the shadow on that man's face", which refers to the Split lighting image which creates Drama or we call it "Rembrandt"
You have no idea how many people came in with weird comments and we need to make them understand the art behind it, It's tough and we're so worried. Slowly along the way, people get a hold on us through the Internet and love our work. Of course, we still need more support especially from our potential clients, If any soon-to-be-bride reading this please don't hesitate to contact us, as we love to meet up with you guys and listen to your stories . Thanx to Grace for managing the studio well and Alvin for being a great Assistant/LB(Light Boy) .
We did a Pre-Wedding shot earlier this year for one of our client, which then bitten by a Photography Bug. He was so inspired and post up a series of questions to me, Right away the energy injected to my vein, I'm very excited to work with passionate people and helping them to see what I see. If any of you would like to ask questions, do drop me an E-Mail and I'll try my level best to answer them.
Q:How did you learn the art of photography?
A: Art of Photography is huge, there's Portrait, Wedding, Landscape, Still Life and the list goes on. For me people are so fun to work with and that's how I realize I'm a Wedding and portrait photographer..haha first you need to understand how your camera works, then imagine your image and apply the technique then Shoot! I Love movies, that's how i get my ideas and Imagination for my art. People told me Shadow is bad for your image, I say Shadow creates the drama, If it's that bad, Hollywood Movies will have every cast-members to shoot in the middle of a desert. Movies inspired me very much.

I totally blame you and Nana for that half-faced photo you did for me and Perry during our e-session.. hahhaha.. I have many people i.e. from family, friends to total stranger asking me if I realised that Perry's face only showing half or why are we not smiling in the picture (remember the Heineken advertisement?). Yes, that's what we call ART.
Cheers
