Here's a sneak peek of what we going to learn, Rainer came to our studio for Sabah Bloggers Gathering 2009 Photoshoot. For those followed my Blog, I always use Movies as part of my Inspirations. See how we craft the Light and Shadow Portraits
We set up 1 diffused flash as a Main Light on the Upper Right to create a Soft Light to illuminate Rainer's Half face. Another lesser power Diffused flash on Rainer's left serves as the Fill Light and Finish up with a Non-diffused Flash slightly behind Rainer's Back to create a highlight separating the background.
Here's another example of crafting portraiture with Light and shadow, Left Image: We are using 1 diffused flash as the main light and Non-diffused Flash as the Back Light. This is Split Lighting Portraiture which you might have seen it in the Movie Twilight. Right Image, We're using 2 diffused flash on Rainer's Left and Right to create this mood. What you see here, is called the art of strobing. You'll get a chance to witness many types of technique in manipulating different types of Lights. Are You Ready?
