Today's Professional Photographer segment we are going to explore a little bit about tone and lighting, which often use in Cinematic setups. Yes lighting, plays a big part in everyday lives it just that we don't realize it's happening. Both tone and lighting are important to set the mood of a picture. .
Key lighting is the main—and strongest—light source in a scene or on the subject. They're not usually strong enough to light a subject, but they add to the cinematic ambiance of the scene. Hard lighting is a lighting aesthetic with harsh shadows that draws attention to a specific subject/actor or part of a scene.
Cinematic Tone consist of Tint, Tone and Shade. Tint, is the mixture of a color with white, which increases lightness. Tone, is produced either by the mixture of a color with gray, or by both tinting and shading and Shade, is the mixture of a color with black, which reduces lightness.
Go and have a little fun on your next image, using both Cinematic light and tone. Set the mood and show us your work😊
